Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 11, 2023

Welcome to The Art of Food Culinary Learning Center. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and participation in our culinary cooking and baking classes, camps, and related programs. By using our website, registering for a class, or otherwise engaging with The Art of Foods, you agree to these terms.

1. Classes and Registration

The Art of Foods provides cooking and baking classes and programs for students. Class information, including ages, dates, times, locations, availability, and pricing, is provided on our website and may be updated from time to time.

Registration is required to participate in a class. A student's enrollment is not guaranteed until registration and payment or approved payment arrangements have been completed.

Class sizes are limited, and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Class Age Requirements

Students must meet the age requirements listed for the specific class in which they are registered. Age requirements help ensure that the class pace, instruction, equipment, and activities are appropriate for the students enrolled.

The Art of Foods reserves the right to determine whether a student is appropriately placed in a particular class.

3. Payments and Cancellation Policy

Because The Art of Foods purchases food, ingredients, and supplies in advance based on class enrollment, payments are generally non-refundable once a class has been booked.

A credit toward a future class may be available when cancellation notice is provided at least one week before the scheduled class, subject to the applicable cancellation policy.

Families may also arrange for another student to attend in the registered student's place when appropriate.

The specific cancellation and credit terms provided at the time of registration apply to each class.

4. Class Changes and Cancellations

The Art of Foods reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify a class when necessary, including when enrollment is insufficient or circumstances beyond our control affect the class.

If The Art of Foods cancels a class, families will be contacted regarding available options, which may include transferring to another class or receiving a credit toward a future class.

5. Student Participation and Safety

Students are expected to follow the instructor's directions, kitchen safety procedures, and classroom rules.

Cooking and baking classes involve knives, hot surfaces, ovens, stovetops, electrical appliances, and other kitchen equipment. Students will receive appropriate safety instruction and supervision; however, participation in cooking activities involves inherent risks.

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing The Art of Foods with accurate emergency contact information and notifying us of any relevant allergies, dietary restrictions, medical considerations, or other information that may affect a student's participation.

6. Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

The Art of Foods works with a variety of ingredients, including common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and other ingredients.

Although reasonable care is taken when preparing food, The Art of Foods is not an allergen-free facility and cannot guarantee that food will be free from cross-contact.

Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether a particular class is appropriate for their student and should communicate known allergies or dietary restrictions before registration.
