Swedish Meatballs, Egg Noodles & Lingonberry Jam Class Join us for a comforting, hands-on cooking class where students will prepare a classic homestyle favorite: Swedish meatballs served over tender egg noodles with rich, creamy gravy and a touch of traditional lingonberry jam. Students will learn how to mix and shape flavorful meatballs using a blend of ground meats, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, focusing on achieving the ideal texture—tender, juicy, and well-balanced. They will practice proper portioning and cooking techniques, including browning the meatballs to build depth of flavor while ensuring they are cooked through. In addition, students will prepare egg noodles and learn how to cook them to the perfect al dente texture. They will also explore proper timing and seasoning so the noodles complement the meatballs and sauce. To complete the dish, students will make a traditional-style creamy gravy, learning how to build a sauce from pan drippings, thicken it properly, and adjust seasoning for a smooth, savory finish. They will also be introduced to lingonberry jam, a classic Swedish accompaniment that adds a lightly sweet and tangy contrast to the dish. The class will come together as students plate their meatballs over egg noodles, top with gravy, and serve alongside lingonberry jam for a beautifully balanced and authentic presentation. Skills students will learn: *Mixing and forming meatballs with proper texture *Browning and cooking meat safely and evenly *Cooking egg noodles to the correct doneness *Making a creamy, pan-based gravy *Understanding flavor balance with sweet and savory elements Each student will leave with a delicious serving of Swedish meatballs over egg noodles with gravy and lingonberry jam, along with the skills to recreate this comforting classic at home. 🍽️✨ Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy.
