Service Description

🥛Dairy-Free In this interactive class, Young Chefs will gain confidence in the kitchen by learning essential Knife Skills and using them to create a colorful, fresh veggie stir-fry. We’ll begin with safety basics — how to hold a knife, proper cutting stance, and the “bear claw” grip to protect fingers. Then, students will practice slicing, dicing, and julienning a variety of vegetables such as bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, and green onions. Once our veggies are prepped, we’ll head to the stove to cook a simple, flavorful stir-fry sauce and combine everything into a sizzling dish. Along the way, students will learn about timing, texture, and seasoning to make their stir-fry shine. Skills Learned: Knife safety & handling Basic vegetable cuts: slice, dice, julienne, mince How to cook vegetables for best texture and color Stir-fry cooking techniques Balancing flavors in a sauce Note: We use age-appropriate knives & protective gloves. All cooking is done under close supervision. Safety first — deliciousness second! Please ensure long hair is tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear closed-toe shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
