In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of building a flavorful pan sauce while exploring how ingredients contribute depth, richness, and balance. A special focus will be placed on understanding ingredient substitutions, including how to replace cooking wines and other alcoholic ingredients with delicious non-alcoholic alternatives such as broths, juices, vinegars, and reductions—an important skill that can be applied to countless recipes.
