Maple Oat Scones: A Cozy Fall Bake

⚠️ Allergy Alert: Contains Nuts / Pecans Fall flavors are coming!! 🍁 In this warm and welcoming baking class, students will learn how to make tender, Buttery Maple Oat Scones—the perfect treat for cozy mornings. We’ll walk through every step of the process, from mixing the dough to shaping and baking the scones, finishing with a light Maple glaze. Along the way, students will develop essential baking skills, including: 🧈 How to cut in butter for flaky texture 🌾 Working with rolled oats for added flavor and heartiness 🥣 Mastering measuring and mixing techniques 🍽️ Practicing even shaping and portioning 🍁 Making a simple, flavorful glaze to finish These scones are great for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon treat—and easy enough to recreate at home. Students will leave with a cozy bake and new confidence in their kitchen skills! Please ensure long hair is tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear closed-toe shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
