Service Description
Step into the heart of Irish Comfort Food with this hands-on class! You’ll learn to make Grandma’s Irish Soda Bread, a classic, hearty bread with a perfectly crisp crust and tender crumb. As the bread bakes, you'll be guided through making Irish Colcannon Soup, a creamy, flavorful dish made with mashed potatoes, cabbage, and leeks, perfect for pairing with the warm, freshly baked soda bread. By the end of the class, you'll have a delicious Irish-inspired meal, with golden-brown soda bread and a comforting bowl of soup to enjoy. Whether you're baking for a special occasion or just craving some cozy flavors, this class will leave you with new skills and tasty memories! Participants will be standing for most of the class, so please wear closed-toe shoes and ensure long hair is tied back. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. At The Art of Food, our goal is to teach valuable Cooking and Baking techniques, not just how to follow a recipe. These skills will empower students to explore their creativity in their home kitchen for their families and make any recipe their own. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
