Advanced Baking Series: Get ready to turn a classic cookie into a Bakery-worthy Masterpiece! In this hands-on baking class, students will learn how to make elegant homemade Milano-style Cookies completely from scratch — crisp, delicate, and sandwiched with rich, creamy fillings. Students will: *Mix and pipe a light, buttery cookie batter *Learn proper piping techniques to create those signature oval Milano shapes *Bake cookies to the perfect crisp-tender texture *Make smooth, chocolate ganache fillings *Flavor ganache three delicious ways Flavor Creations: 🍫 Classic Chocolate Ganache – rich, silky, and perfectly balanced 🌿 Mint Chocolate – cool and refreshing with a smooth chocolate finish 🍊 Orange Chocolate – bright citrus paired with decadent chocolate Along the way, students will build confidence with piping skills, learn how to work with melted chocolate, and discover how simple flavor additions can transform a recipe. Each student will assemble and take home a beautiful assortment of their gourmet sandwich cookies. This class is perfect for students who love baking, decorating, and creating treats that look just as impressive as they taste! Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
