Service Description

In this hands-on cooking class, students will learn how to make delicious Homemade Gyoza Dumplings from scratch and transform them into a comforting, flavorful Dumpling Soup. This class focuses on technique, flavor building, and fun folding skills while creating a dish that feels both impressive and comforting. Students will learn to: 🥟 Make Gyoza Dumplings *Prepare a savory dumpling filling *Fill and fold gyoza wrappers using classic pleating techniques *Learn proper portioning and sealing so dumplings hold together *Cook dumplings until perfectly tender 🍲 Create a Flavorful Soup *Build a light, savory broth *Add vegetables and seasonings for balanced flavor *Gently cook dumplings in the broth *Finish with fresh garnishes for a beautiful presentation Throughout the class, students will build knife skills, learn how to balance savory flavors, and practice careful cooking techniques. They’ll see how a simple dumpling can become the star of a warm, satisfying meal. This class is perfect for students who love hands-on cooking, trying new foods, and learning fun kitchen skills they can use again and again. Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
