Service Description
Advanced Baking Class: Join us for an Advanced Baking Experience where students will create Elegant Chocolate Éclairs from start to finish. In this hands-on class, students will learn how to prepare classic Pate a Choux, a light and airy dough that puffs in the oven to form the perfect shell for filling. Students will practice mixing choux dough to the correct consistency, piping uniform éclairs, and baking them to achieve a crisp exterior with a hollow center. While the shells bake and cool, students will prepare a smooth Vanilla Pastry Cream filling(Crème Pâtissière), learning proper cooking, thickening, and texture techniques. Once the Éclairs are ready, students will learn how to fill them neatly using piping techniques, then finish with a rich Chocolate glaze. Attention will be given to achieving a clean, professional appearance through proper glazing and presentation. Skills students will learn: *Making and working with choux pastry *Piping consistent éclair shapes *Baking for proper rise and structure *Preparing a classic pastry cream filling *Filling and assembling éclairs *Glazing and finishing for a polished presentation Each student will leave with beautifully crafted chocolate éclairs and the skills to recreate this classic French pastry at home. 🍫✨ Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
