Service Description

Warm up the kitchen with a comforting, homemade meal that is perfect for sharing! In this hands-on culinary class, students will learn how to create a hearty Chicken Chili from scratch paired with golden, tender Homemade Cornbread Muffins. Students will discover how layers of flavor are built by combining fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices to create a delicious chili that is both satisfying and full of wholesome ingredients. They will learn cooking techniques for preparing tender chicken, balancing seasonings, and creating a flavorful meal that can become a family favorite. To complete the dish, students will bake homemade cornbread muffins with a perfectly golden crust and soft, buttery center — the ideal companion for a cozy bowl of chili. ✨ Skills Students Will Learn: • Knife skills and safe kitchen techniques • How to build layers of flavor in a one-pot meal • Proper seasoning and spice balancing • Cooking techniques for tender, flavorful chicken • Measuring and mixing techniques for baking • Tips for creating moist, fluffy cornbread muffins • Plating and serving a complete homemade meal Students will leave with the confidence to recreate this comforting classic at home — a perfect combination of savory, satisfying, and made-from-scratch cooking! Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
