Advanced Baking Class: Start the School year with a Bakery favorite made completely from scratch! In this delicious hands-on baking class, students will learn how to create beautiful Cream Cheese Berry Danishes using flaky Puff Pastry, making a rich Homemade Cream Cheese filling, and fresh berry topping. Young bakers will make homemade Cream Cheese, learning how simple ingredients come together to create a creamy bakery-style center. They will then practice working with puff pastry, learning techniques for shaping, folding, and assembling pastries to create perfectly golden, flaky danishes. This class is perfect for students who love baking and want to learn how to create an elegant breakfast treat that looks impressive and tastes even better. Skills Learned: • Making a smooth homemade cream cheese • Proper puff pastry handling and shaping techniques • Assembling and filling bakery-style danishes • Preparing berry toppings and balancing sweetness • Baking for golden color and crisp texture • Kitchen safety, timing, and organization A sweet and flaky bakery-style class filled with creamy filling, juicy berries, and delicious layers in every bite! 🍓🥐✨ Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
