Service Description

Advanced Baking Class: Optional Supply Add-On: Snack cake pans will be available for optional purchase at registration so students can recreate their homemade Twinkies at home (limited quantity available). Take a Sweet Trip down memory lane with this Fun and Nostalgic Homemade Twinkies baking class — made from scratch with a lighter, wholesome twist! Students will recreate the classic snack cake they know and love, but using quality ingredients and simple techniques that elevate both flavor and texture. In this class, students will bake soft, golden sponge cakes and learn how to create a fluffy, creamy filling made without artificial ingredients. Students will also learn how to make a classic French meringue, understanding proper whipping stages, sugar incorporation, and how to achieve stable, glossy peaks. Skills Covered: *Mixing and baking a light sponge cake *How to make a stable French meringue *Understanding soft, medium, and stiff peaks *Making a smooth, fluffy homemade filling *Proper pan preparation *Piping and filling techniques *Simple ingredient swaps for a more wholesome version Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
