Inspired by classic Danish Butter Cookies, these crisp, buttery sandwich cookies are infused with warm Fall spices and rich Apple Butter for a delicious seasonal twist. In this hands-on baking class, students will learn how to prepare a beautifully spiced cookie dough, discover the unique flavor of apple butter, and use piping techniques to create charming ridged cookies with a professional bakery look. They'll also whip up a smooth apple butter buttercream filling before sandwiching the cookies together into a stunning fall treat. Students will learn that apple butter is a rich, slow-cooked version of applesauce with concentrated apple flavor and warm spices, making it the perfect ingredient for adding depth and sweetness to both the cookies and the buttercream. ✨Skills Students Will Learn: Making a buttery Danish-style cookie dough Understanding the difference between applesauce and apple butter Piping decorative cookies with pastry bags and tips Mixing warm fall spices for balanced flavor Creating a smooth apple butter buttercream Assembling elegant sandwich cookies Baking techniques for crisp, tender cookies with beautiful texture A delightful fall baking class that combines classic European-inspired techniques with the comforting flavors of apple, cinnamon, and butter to create an unforgettable seasonal cookie! 🍁 Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
