Warm up this winter by learning to make a classic Albondigas Soup paired with fresh, homemade tortillas—a comforting and hands-on culinary experience from start to finish! In this fun, interactive class, students will: 🧅 Chop and prep fresh vegetables for the soup 🥕 Build a flavorful broth with herbs and spices 🍽️ Mix, season, and shape homemade meatballs 🔥 Simmer the soup to perfection 🌮 Learn to make homemade tortillas from scratch, rolling and cooking them on the stovetop 🥣 Serve a warm bowl of soup with fresh tortillas to enjoy in class or take home Skills Learned: *Knife skills and prep techniques *Flavor layering and seasoning *Dough handling and cooking tortillas *Timing and multitasking in the kitchen This class is perfect for students who love cozy, hands-on cooking and want to expand their kitchen confidence with a complete, wholesome meal. Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
