Service Description
Join us for a fun and hands-on Sushi Making Class where students will learn the art of creating beautiful and delicious homemade sushi! Students will prepare and roll three popular sushi favorites while learning sushi rice preparation, rolling techniques, knife skills, and proper sushi presentation. 🍣 California Roll – Learn how to make the classic inside-out sushi roll filled with imitation crab, creamy avocado, and crisp cucumber, finished with a coating of sesame seeds. A perfect introduction to sushi rolling techniques! 🍣 Philadelphia Roll – Students will create this creamy favorite using smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese. They will learn how balancing flavors and textures creates the perfect sushi bite. 🍣 Dragon Roll – A fun and impressive specialty roll! Students will build a shrimp tempura roll and top it with thin slices of avocado arranged to resemble dragon scales, then finish it with flavorful sauces for a restaurant-style presentation. This class is perfect for beginner sushi lovers and adventurous young chefs who are excited to learn new culinary skills while creating restaurant-quality sushi from scratch. Students will enjoy their creations during class and leave with the confidence to make sushi at home! Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
