Service Description

Comfort food meets creative cooking in this hands-on class where students will make their own Mini Shepherd’s Pot Pies. These individual savory pies are packed with hearty filling and topped with fluffy mashed potatoes for the ultimate cozy dish. Students will learn essential kitchen skills while creating a meal that’s both fun to make and delicious to eat. In this class, students will: 🥕 Prepare the Savory Filling *Brown and season the meat (or veggie alternative) *Chop and sauté vegetables *Create a rich, flavorful gravy 🥔 Make Creamy Mashed Potato Topping Learn piping or spooning techniques for topping 🥧 Assemble Mini Pot Pies *Portion filling into individual baking dishes *Top with mashed potatoes *Bake until golden and bubbly Students will build confidence with knife skills, stovetop cooking, seasoning, and layering flavors. Each student will assemble their own mini pot pies to enjoy in class & take home. This class is perfect for students who love comfort food and want to learn how to turn simple ingredients into a hearty, homemade meal. Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
