Service Description
Students will recreate a beloved classic as they learn to make homemade Oreo-style cookies from scratch using rich Black Cocoa for a deep, chocolaty flavor! In this hands-on baking class, students will prepare chocolate sandwich cookies and pair them with a smooth, creamy vanilla filling. Students will practice essential baking skills including accurate measuring, mixing dough, rolling and cutting cookies, and baking to achieve the perfect crisp texture. They’ll also learn how to pipe and assemble the cookie sandwiches for a polished, bakery-style finish. Skills Learned: *Using specialty ingredients like black cocoa *Measuring & mixing techniques *Rolling, cutting & baking cookies *Preparing a creamy filling *Piping & sandwich assembly A fun, nostalgic class with a from-scratch twist students will love!🖤 Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
