Service Description
In this cozy and confidence-building Cooking Class, students will learn to make classic Beef Stroganoff! This recipe retains the rich, comforting essence of traditional Russian Beef Stroganoff while introducing an unexpected yet delightful zing from Mustard and a hint of Umami from the addition of smoked paprika. The result is a Creamy Mushroom sauce that dances on your palate and offers a depth of flavor that sets this dish apart from typical renditions. To round out the meal, students will also prepare a simple and delicious side of Roasted Green Beans—lightly seasoned and oven-roasted for the perfect crisp-tender bite. This hands-on class will focus on essential culinary techniques, including: 🍄 Sautéing beef, onions, and mushrooms to build deep flavor 🥄 Making a smooth, creamy sauce using roux and stock 🧂 Seasoning and deglazing to enhance taste and texture 🔪 Knife skills for even slicing of meat and vegetables 🔥 Oven-roasting vegetables for flavor and texture 🍽️ Plating and presentation for a polished final dish Perfect for students looking to master a classic comfort meal while sharpening fundamental kitchen skills. Please ensure long hair is tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear closed-toe shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
