Service Description
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a flavorful, hands-on cooking experience! In this class, students will create Authentic-Style Chicken Tinga Tacos completely from scratch, including fresh Homemade Tortillas. Students will learn how to prepare Chicken Tinga—a smoky, mildly spiced shredded chicken dish made with tomatoes, onions, and chipotle peppers. They will explore how to build depth of flavor through proper seasoning, sautéing, and simmering techniques. In addition, students will make their own tortillas, learning how to mix, portion, and shape dough (corn or flour, depending on the class format), then cook them on a griddle to achieve a soft, warm, and pliable finish. Once the components are ready, students will assemble their tacos and finish them with traditional toppings such as fresh salsa, lime crema, cheese, cilantro, and avocado. The class will emphasize flavor balance, texture, and presentation. Skills students will learn: *Preparing chicken tinga with layered flavors *Basic stovetop cooking techniques and seasoning *Making and shaping homemade tortillas *Cooking tortillas to proper texture and doneness *Taco assembly and balanced topping combinations Each student will leave with a delicious plate of freshly made chicken tinga tacos and the confidence to recreate them at home for family and friends. 🌮✨ Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy.
