Service Description
Warm, creamy, and packed with Autumn flavor — Risotto is the ultimate comfort dish for Fall! In this hands-on class, students will learn how to prepare a rich and velvety Risotto featuring roasted Butternut Squash, Parmesan, and fresh herbs. Together, we’ll practice the techniques that make Risotto so special: slowly stirring, ladling in broth, and achieving that perfect balance of tender rice with a silky finish. By the end of class, students will sit down to enjoy their own golden bowls of risotto — a dish that’s as impressive as it is comforting and perfect for any Thanksgiving table. Skills Learned: *Prepping and roasting butternut squash *Toasting and cooking Arborio rice *Building flavor with broth and aromatics *Mastering the “stir-and-add” risotto technique *Finishing with cheese and herbs for a creamy texture Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
