Service Description

Join us for a fun and hands-on cooking class where students will learn how to make a classic favorite from scratch—baked Chicken Nuggets paired with crispy homemade French Fries! Students will begin by preparing the chicken nuggets, learning how to properly cut, season, and coat bite-sized pieces of chicken for even cooking and great texture. They will explore the breading process, including dredging and coating techniques that help create a crisp, golden exterior when baked. Next, students will prepare fresh potatoes for French fries, practicing safe knife skills as they cut uniform pieces for even cooking. They will learn how to season and prepare the fries for baking, focusing on achieving a crispy outside and tender inside without deep frying. While the chicken and fries bake, students will discuss seasoning options, dipping sauces, and how to balance flavors for a complete meal. The class will come together as students plate their baked chicken nuggets and French fries, ready to enjoy a delicious homemade version of a family favorite. Skills students will learn: *Proper knife skills and safe food handling *Cutting and portioning chicken into uniform pieces *Breading and coating techniques *Preparing and seasoning potatoes for baking *Baking for texture and doneness Each student will leave with a fresh serving of baked chicken nuggets and homemade French fries—and the confidence to recreate this healthier, homemade favorite at home. 🍗✨ Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
