Celebrate 250 years🗽of Flavor through Food, History & Fun! A hands-on Culinary Workshop Celebrating 250 years of American Food Culture through scratch baking, new techniques, and modern dessert styling. Students will learn how classic American baked goods are built from the ground up, then elevated with professional methods for flavor, texture, and presentation. 🥧 DAY 1: FOUNDATIONS OF AMERICAN BAKING Apple Galettes with Apple Cider Caramel Sauce Skills: dough development, folding, reduction sauces 🍪 DAY 2: ICONIC AMERICAN COOKIE REINVENTED Students take America’s most iconic Chocolate Chip Cookie and explore how small changes in ingredients create completely different textures and flavor profiles. This day focuses on professional baking technique, flavor balance, and creative variations; Traditional, Coconut, and their own Signature Flavor. 🍰 DAY 3: MODERN DESSERT STUDIO Patriotic Chocolate Berry Tarts ~ Chocolate shells filled with Vanilla Cream Cheese topped with Fresh Berries & Mint. Skills: layering, plating, flavor balance, presentation ⭐ CAMP HIGHLIGHTS ✔ Scratch baking every day ✔ Hands-on learning ✔ Take-home baked goods daily Class Guidelines: *Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. *Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. *This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. *Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.
Cancellation Policy
Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
