Friday, February 13th: Homemade Cinnamon Brown Sugar Pop-Tarts 🍂🍪 In this fun and hands-on baking class, students will make homemade Pop-Tarts filled with a sweet cinnamon brown sugar filling. Students will learn how to create perfectly sealed pastries with a golden, flaky crust. Once baked, the Pop-Tarts will be finished with a smooth glaze for a classic, bakery-style look. Along the way, students will learn techniques for rolling dough evenly, sealing filled pastries without leaks, and creating a tender, flaky texture. Skills Learned: *Rolling and handling pastry dough *Preparing a sweet cinnamon brown sugar filling *Using a ravioli maker or cutter for filled pastries *Baking pastries to golden perfection *Icing and decorating with glaze By the end of class, students will take home a batch of warm, delicious Pop-Tarts and the skills to make endless variations at home. Friday, February 27th: Classic Italian Stuffed Shells 🍝 In this hands-on cooking class, students will learn how to make classic Italian stuffed shells from start to finish. We’ll begin by cooking jumbo pasta shells to the perfect texture, then prepare a creamy ricotta filling blended with mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasonings. Students will practice safely filling and stuffing each shell, arranging them in a baking dish, and topping them with rich marinara sauce and melted cheese. Along the way, we’ll talk about layering flavors, proper pasta cooking techniques, and baking for a warm, bubbly finish. Skills Learned: *Cooking pasta to al dente *Preparing a cheese filling *Stuffing and assembling pasta dishes *Layering sauces and cheeses *Baking and kitchen safety By the end of class, students will enjoy a comforting, homemade Italian meal and gain skills they can use for family dinners and special occasions.✨ Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens. Sick Student Policy: Students should stay home if they or any family members are experiencing symptoms of illness, only returning to class once they’ve been well and symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This precaution supports a healthy environment for all students and staff.
