Service Description

Monday, February 2nd: Mini Valentine Pop-Tart Cookies 💖🍓 In this festive, hands-on baking class, students will create homemade Mini Valentine Pop-Tart–style cookies using a ravioli maker to form perfectly sealed, jam-filled pastries. Students will make pie dough, fill each pocket with sweet fruit jam, and press them together to create adorable, evenly shaped cookies. Once baked and cooled, students will finish their Pop-Tart cookies with a smooth icing drizzle and a Valentine heart sprinkle for a colorful, love-filled touch. Along the way, we’ll learn how to properly seal filled cookies, prevent leaks, and bake them to golden perfection. Skills Learned: *Rolling and handling pie dough *Using a ravioli maker for filled cookies *Proper filling and sealing techniques *Baking filled pastries evenly *Icing, decorating, and adding festive sprinkles A sweet and creative Valentine’s class that combines baking skills with festive fun! 💕 Monday, February 16th: Chicken Tortilla Soup 🍲🌮 Students will learn how to safely chop vegetables, sauté aromatics, season broth, and shred chicken to create a hearty, flavorful soup. To finish, they’ll prepare classic toppings like crispy tortilla strips, cheese, and fresh garnishes to customize their own bowl. Skills Learned: *Knife safety & basic chopping *Sautéing vegetables *Building flavor with spices *Soup assembly & presentation A cozy, comforting class that’s sure to become a family favorite! 🍲🌮 Please ensure long hair is all tied back PRIOR to arriving in class. Participants will be standing for most of the class, please wear Closed-Toed shoes. This is a drop-off program designed to foster independence in the kitchen. Missed classes are non-refundable—please review our Cancellation Policy. In each class, students work together in teams of two, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As part of the experience, they'll make and enjoy some of the food they created during class. They'll also have the chance to take a portion of their creation home to share including the recipes, as the focus is on learning and practicing Culinary techniques.


Cancellation Policy

Due to our need to purchase food and supplies in advance, we are unable to provide refunds once a class is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if notified a week prior to the date of your registered class. You are welcome to send someone in your place to attend the class that you've purchased. The Art of Food reserves the right to cancel a class. Registrants will be notified by email or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit for upcoming classes. Please review class information carefully. We cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individuals medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens.
